Buildings cost money. The
contents of a building are important to the longevity of the building
and sometimes these contents can be damaged. When this occurs it
is important the Residence Life and Housing departments can identify
and track the damage. This is where the Damage Billing module comes
into play.
The Damage Billing module has been designed with housing and operations
staff in mind. By approaching damage billing from a staff perspective we have
built a series of tools to easily record damage and associate the key supplemental
material to these damages. We have further identified the need to move
the date from staff to student and finally to billing in one fluid workflow.
- Use room condition reports in conjunction with digital
pictures to build a complete dynamic package for each student
- Automate delivery of damage information and responsibility
acceptance to easily push the data into billings hands
- Develop damage audit trails for students and equipment
over the life of their stay within the halls
- Recover lost expenses to large damage write-offs
- Associate damage based on student, room, wing, floor
and hall
- Track common area damage and easily associate it
with the correct set of students.
